Rene B. Galleposo Sr. was born on April 4, 1948 married to Teodorica D. Galleposo and a successful teacher in our government with seven children.

He started being a public servant as a Barangay Secretary in the year 1981 at Barangay Taguilon, Dapitan City. And in the year 1982 he was elected and became a Punong Barangay in this barangay. Last September 17, 2004 he was elected and took his oath as President of the Liga ng mga Barangay of the Shrine City of Dapitan. Thus, he is performing his duties and responsibilities up to the present.
