Hon. emilio a. jacinto

Hon. Emilio A. Jacinto is a retired RTC Judge. Before his retirement from the Judiciary, he was the Presiding RTC Judge of Davao City, and then transferred to the RTC, Cebu City.

Before his appointment to the judiciary, he was the City Fiscal of Dapitan City, then elevated to the Department of Justice as Judicial Supervisor, thence to the Office of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court as Judicial Assistant to the Chief Justice. Significantly, Judge Jacinto is perhaps the only Judge in the country who was recommended tot that position by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Fred Ruiz Castro.

When he retired from the judiciary in 1986, he was in the active practice of law until his election to his present position. Incidentally, Judge Emilio Jacinto was, at one time, elected as Municipal Vice-Mayor of the municipality of Dapitan, which still included the now municipalities of Sibutad and Rizal.

City Councilor Jacinto is married to Jessica B. Jacinto of Dapitan City. They have a son, Emilio B. Jacinto II.
