Brief Personal Profile Of
Hon. Patri Bajamunde Chan
The Dapitan City Sangguniang Panlungsod
for the term 2004-2007 is headed and presided by
Hon.
Patri Bajamunde Chan.
She is the second child of the former Sangguniang
Panlungsod Member, Hon. Paterno Bajamunde who served the
people of Dapitan City from 1964-1989.
Hon. Patri Bajamunde Chan or “Ma’am Jing”
as most Dapitanons fondly call her, continues on the
political quest that she has apparently inherited from her
father and has obviously become her, since 1998 when she was
first elected and served as a Sangguniang Panlungsod Member
until 2004, completing a successful two-year term.
The statuesque Hon. Vice-Mayor who would
definitely pass for a beauty queen is an active member of
the following organizations holding key positions during her
term: Philippine Councilor’s League of Region IX for
2001-2004 as Regional Char. Vice-Mayor’s League of the
Philippines of the present term as Regional Chair, a member
of the Board of Directors of Four-L Philippines for Mindanao
from 2001 until this date, Rotary Ann of Dapitan,
Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals,
Grains Retailers Confederation and Philippine Red Cross to
name a few.
An active advocate of women’s rights,
Ma’am Jing is the wife of businessman Jimmy S. Chan and the
doting mother of four children namely, China Chan Olario,
Jidda Chan, Jordanne Chan and Jimmy Patrick Israel Chan.
